The strategy for creating this look for Valspar's new brand for Pristine Paintline. The task as the Sr. Art Director is up to me and the team to design a texture that shows how the paint is applied to the wall.
Coming up with the honeycomb pattern shows how the paint molecules combine on the walls. The strategy behind the design came from researching bees and how the consistency of honey works. That is how we came up with the octagon look and feel for the new label design. Several different color tones that where used brought an elegance to both the Semi-Gloss and Flat Finish. The campaign was followed by online and print ads and in-store signage.
